Capstone Project MN692 T1 2025 Assignment Help

MN692
Capstone Project -1 Capstone Project -2

The MN692 Capstone Project builds on MN691 Research Methods and Project Design from the previous trimester only if you have the same group members in your tutorial session. If your team members change, you may be assigned a new topic and will be required to complete the project implementation.

The industry project report consists of two distinct stages. The first stage focuses on the project's detailed design, while the second stage involves its implementation and analysis. Each stage requires the submission of both group and individual reports, contributing to Assessments 1 and 2.

Individual marks for each team member will be calculated for each assessment using the following process:

  • • Group marks for the written report will be assigned based on the group report assignment. • Each team member will receive an individual mark for the individual report assignment, which will be scaled by a factor of 1.
  • • The final mark for each student will be determined by multiplying the group report mark by this scaled individual mark.
  • • Failure to submit an individual report will result in a score of 0 for the student.

The group report must be submitted solely by the designated leader through the assigned group submission link. Only the assigned group leader is responsible for submitting the required files through the Moodle assignment submission link. Penalties will be applied in cases where multiple students submit highly similar files, as this may be regarded as plagiarism. Individual reports should be submitted separately via the specified link.

GROUP ASSIGNMENT TASK
In this phase, your goal is to complete both Section 1 (Introduction) and Section 2 (Project Detailed Design) of your industry report. Ensure to attach the required documents for Appendix 1, Industry Client Information. Make sure to follow the provided final report template diligently, as it outlines the necessary structure for your report.
Introduction [20% Mark]
Briefly describe your project, including its purpose, objectives, industry client information, and key challenges. If you completed the MN691 design phase, summarize your previous work, highlighting research findings and design decisions. If you are starting with a new topic at this stage, provide background information on the project, including its scope, industry relevance, and initial requirements or constraints identified before implementation. Additionally, provide a concise outline of the report.
Detailed Project Design [70% Mark]
This section presents a detailed project plan outlining key tasks and deliverables to ensure effective implementation. A structured approach enhances coordination by covering critical aspects such as block diagram implementation, software and hardware requirements, team responsibilities, and weekly activities, as detailed below:
  • • Implementation Overview [30% Mark] You need to provide a high-level overview of the implementation process, including the methodology, key project phases, and a block diagram representing the system architecture. This section should clearly describe how the project will be executed based on the project proposal.
  • • Software and Hardware Requirements [20% Mark] This section outlines the essential tools and resources required for the project before detailing the execution plan. The requirements can be categorized into software and hardware specifications.
  • • Weekly Activities and Team Responsibilities Plan [20% Mark] This section outlines the weekly activities timeline and team roles and responsibilities for MN692. It includes a detailed table mapping out weekly activities with a comprehensive timeline for task completion. Additionally, it defines the roles and responsibilities of each team member, ensuring clear articulation of contributions and expectations to promote effective coordination.
Reference and Presentation [10% Mark]
Each student is required to provide at least three references from sources published within the past five years. Ensure that your report is meticulously structured, with proper formatting, accurate spelling and grammar, adherence to the IEEE reference style, and a well-designed cover page and table of contents. Before submission, thoroughly review your template and remove all provided instructional content, keeping only the section headings. This step is essential to prevent high similarity in your assessment.

INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT TASK
Participation (Week 1-3) [66.67% Mark]
Attendance and active participation in lectures and tutorials are mandatory for the individual component MN692. Punctuality is of utmost importance in this unit. Students are granted a 10-minute grace period; however, beyond this timeframe, a comment (instead of a checkmark) will be noted on their AMS attendance record. It is required that students provide a screenshot of their attendance for the lectures and tutorial from Weeks 1 to 3. Each recorded attendance contributes to a total of 6 marks, accounting for 66.67% of the total individual assignment marks.
SPARKPLUS Self and Peer Assessment (Week 1-3) [33.33% Mark]
SPARKPLUS is an essential tool for Self & Peer Assessment and Feedback in the context of group assignments, accessible at. Completion of this task is mandatory for all students, and the SPARKPLUS score directly contributes to determining the final assignment mark, especially for this specific section. The SPARKPLUS website calculates this score promptly upon completion of the review task by all group members. Familiarise yourself with the usage of SPARKPLUS by referring to the Student’s SPARKPLUS Guideline located in the assignment folder. Ensure that you provide comments justifying your rating, as a 50% penalty mark will be imposed if adequate comments are not provided for this section. It is crucial to emphasise that failure to submit the SPARKPLUS review will result in a zero mark for this section. Additionally, capture a full-screen screenshot demonstrating the completion of your rating; an alert will pop up upon finishing the rating after hitting the final save button. This section will contribute to 3 total marks (33.33% of individual marks)

Note that the combined total of 6 marks from attendance and 3 marks from the SPARKPLUS assessment will be proportionally scaled to a final score of 1, where 1 represents 100% of the individual assignment mark. The final student mark will be calculated as:

Final Mark = Group Report Mark × Individual Report Mark.
